Tribute to a truly inspirational supporter
Lindy raised more than £26,000 for LPT after cancer diagnosis
Everyone at The Little Princess Trust was terribly sad to hear the passing of a truly inspirational supporter.
Lindy Humphrey raised more than £26,000 for our charity after being diagnosed with cancer in 2015.
Words cannot express just how grateful we are to Lindy for her phenomenal support across so many years for LPT.
She really has made a huge difference to the lives of so many children and young people with cancer.
She will always be remembered by all of us at LPT as we continue our work to improve the lives of young people with cancer
One of our highlights of last year was her visit to our new premises when we were able to give Lindy a tour around our new home – and show her just what a difference her support has made, and will go on making, to young people in the future.
Wendy Tarplee-Morris, co-founder of The Little Princess Trust, said Lindy’s support of our charity has been absolutely staggering.
She added: “We will always be grateful for everything Lindy has done for us.
"She will always be remembered by all of us at LPT as we continue our work to improve the lives of young people with cancer.”
Lindy lost her hair – and much of her confidence - shortly after she began treatment for peritoneal cancer in April, 2015.
Lindy, from Stourbridge, could not bear the thought of a child experiencing similar hair loss and so with the help of her daughter, Pippa, they set up a fundraiser for LPT.
Their hope was to try to raise £500 but they hit that target within an hour and the total soon reached £5,000.
Lindy knew right then that she could do even more to help us – and her fundraising just grew and grew.
Her relatives say they are so proud of the joy she has brought through her fundraising, and we can only echo these words.
All of us at The Little Princess Trust send our love and best wishes to Lindy’s family and friends at this time.
