School holds its second Funky Hair Funday

Pupils' creativity and imagination help our cause

A school in Portugal has once again raised vital funds to help The Little Princess Trust by hosting a Funky Hair Funday.

Children at St Peters International School in Palmela ensured a whopping £831 was sent to support our free wig provision service when they held the imaginative fundraiser for LPT last year.

And, now, thanks to the brilliant efforts of pupil Helena Loureiro, they have done it again.

Helena Loureiro organised the Funky Hair Funday at her school.

Funky Hair Fundays can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age or hair length, with the aim of each event to celebrate style, identity, and imagination.

Priscila, Helena’s mother, said the day taught children lessons about the spirit of solidarity and showed them what can be achieved through active student participation.

Pupils used their imagination to come up with some creative hair styles.

This year’s event raised €1,275.95 for The Little Princess Trust and we are sending a huge 'obrigado' to everyone at the school.

We are proud of our links to Portugal and have been providing wigs, free of charge, to children in the country since 2019.
