Party will celebrate life of inspiring LPT supporter

Event features auction with incredible prizes on offer

The final preparations are being made by those organising a party to celebrate the life of a truly inspirational Little Princess Trust supporter.

Lindy Humphrey raised more than £26,000 for LPT after being diagnosed with cancer in 2015.

She sadly passed away last December and, as this month will be the first time friends and family won't be able to celebrate her birthday with her, they have instead organised an event to raise money for our charity which was very close to her heart.

Lindy lost her hair – and much of her confidence - shortly after she began treatment for peritoneal cancer in April, 2015.

Lindy, from Stourbridge, could not bear the thought of a child experiencing similar hair loss and so with the help of her daughter, Pippa, set up a fundraiser for LPT.

Lindy Humphrey, centre, with Wendy Tarplee-Morris and Phil Brace on a vist to LPT last year.

Their hope was to try to raise £500 but they hit that target within an hour and the total soon reached £5,000.

Lindy knew right then that she could do even more to help us – and her fundraising just grew and grew.

The event at the Copthorne Hotel in Merry Hill on August 20 will see even more money raised for LPT in Lindy’s name.

The night will see guests enjoy a three-course dinner and entertainment throughout the night which will include a live auction featuring some unique prizes from the worlds of film, music and sport.

Anyone wanting to bid for an item, whether they are attending the event or not, can send their bid to lptauction@gmail.com before midnight on August 18.
