Millie is loving her LPT wig!

Millie is loving her LPT wig!

"Cancer doesn’t define someone. I’m still the same person, just with slightly less hair."

After finding a lump in her neck, Millie was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Knowing that her treatment would result in hair loss as a side effect, Millie got in touch with us here at LPT to see how we can help.

She told us: “Knowing I would lose my hair was harder than hearing the word ‘cancer’. For a lot of people, their hair is their identity and this is exactly how I felt, I thought my confidence came solely from my hair.”

Deciding to take control, Millie donated her hair in anticipation of her hair loss - and received her wig shortly afterwards.

“As soon as I put it on, I felt like myself and recognised myself in the mirror again,” she explained to us.

Everyone at LPT is so humbled to have been able to help Millie during her treatment, and the whole team is sending her so much love and support for her treatment and recovery.
