Wig recipient Sara wants to give back to LPT

LPT welcomed a very special visitor to our home here in Hereford this week!

Being diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma at 24-years-old, Sara has been undergoing chemotherapy and understands first-hand the impact that hair loss can have on someone’s confidence and self-esteem.

She explained: “Chemotherapy comes with side effects and, in my case, that included hair loss”.

Chemotherapy comes with side effects, and, in my case, that included hair loss.

Deciding to get in touch with us here at LPT to see if we could help with the transition of losing her hair, Sara mentioned that receiving her real hair wig helped to make the process “much easier”.

She told us: “I’m so thankful to have received a wig from The Little Princess Trust. Losing your hair is such a difficult thing to go through, so to be able to put a beautiful wig on and feel like yourself again is so special.”

I’m so thankful to have received a wig from The Little Princess Trust.

Despite donating her hair when she found out she was going to experience hair loss, and raising more than a whopping £7,000 for LPT, Sara has decided to go the extra mile to support our mission!

Organising an event called ‘The Big Chop’, Sara is encouraging friends, family, and even strangers to come along and donate their hair to help raise funds and awareness about our wig provision service.

We’re sure you will all join us in sending lots of love and best wishes to Sara, and to find out more about her event, be sure to check out her Instagram page @‌_thebigchop_
