How your help can make a real difference for young people

To date, The Little Princess Trust has provided more than 14,000 wigs to children and young people that are experiencing hair loss due to cancer and other conditions. However, this would not be possible without our wonderful supporters.

So, if you're thinking it's time to #DoSomethingAmazing, check out some of the reasons we think you should support us!

 1) It can take 14-16 different hair donations to make a wig: This means that every hair donation matters and is an incredible contribution towards our wig provision service.

2) You can #DoSomethingAmazing - and your hair grows back: Although it may feel scary to part with your long locks, by donating your hair to LPT, you can be certain that your hair is going to an amazing cause (and not just in the bin)! Not only this, but, chances are, your hair will grow back before you know it!

To those who are worried about cutting their hair, the excitement and joy you get from donating your hair is so worth it - and think of the smile you'll help to create

3) You can provide #HairAndHope to children and young people: By supporting LPT, you have the ability to change a young person's life - through helping us to continue our wig provision service, but also by helping us to fund life-changing research in childhood cancers.

I felt like I fitted in. I felt like I could be myself instead of just that girl with cancer

4) It costs £550 to provide a wig to one our wonderful wig recipients: Whilst hair donations are incredibly important, it also costs more than £500 to provide a child or young person with their very own real-hair wig via our wig provision service. This means that the fantastic funds that you raise go a long way towards helping us to achieve our mission.

5) We are one of the leading researchers in finding better and kinder childhood cancer treatments: Part of our mission is to contribute towards the improvement of childhood cancer treatments. This means that every penny you raise can be an amazing contribution towards helping us with breakthrough research.
