Hair professionals use video technology to get wigs fitted

LPT hosts virtual wig fitting appointments

Technology is being used to ensure young people can still have a Little Princess Trust wig fitted.

Nicola Wood, from The Wonderful Wigs Company in Sunderland, and Chris Baguley, from Baguleys of Cheshire, have joined LPT’s own wig fitter Liz Pullar in holding virtual wig fitting appointments.

Apps such as Zoom, FaceTime and WhatsApp allow the hair specialists to pass on their specialist knowledge to the young people who are all suffering with hair loss, many due to cancer treatment.

Cancer has not stopped during the Covid-19 crisis and remains the biggest cause of death by disease in children aged between 1 and 24.

That is why The Little Princess Trust is committed to continue to provide its service to help children regain their confidence and identity at a very tough time in their young lives.

Nicola, a member of the LPT salon network, has also produced videos showing people how to take care of their wigs and how to take measurements to request the correct wig size. You can watch one by scrolling down below!
