Little Princess Trust submits development plans

Permission is being sought for new building to store wigs
The Little Princess Trust is seeking planning permission to turn a redundant building close to its Hereford headquarters into a new place to store its wigs.
The site, which lies just a few metres from the Hannah Tarplee Building, was previously the home of Hereford Radiators but is currently empty.
According to a Heritage Design and Access Statement written by RRA Architects, much of the site is “in need of major renovation works to bring it to an acceptable standard”.
Phil Brace, the Chief Executive of The Little Princess Trust, said that the new building was needed as a result of the charity helping more children with hair loss due to cancer treatment than ever before.
“The rise in the number of young people being supported means that greater space is needed and, to reduce storage costs and improve efficiencies, a building has been purchased a few metres from our city centre headquarters,” he added.
“Should planning permission be granted, this new building will primarily be used to house our wigs in a safe and secure environment.
“The premises is currently empty, and the proposed investment would breathe new life into an underused site in Hereford city centre.”
