New photographs highlight our Afro wig range

London shoot promotes our work with textured hair
The Little Princess Trust prides itself on offering exceptional wigs in a variety of styles to young people of all races and genders.
Great efforts have been made over the past six years to give a greater choice of wigs to black and mixed-race children with hair loss.
Thanks to the input, advice and expertise from our wig recipients and specialist wig knotters, together with the support from some very generous hair donors, the number of textured wigs we provide has grown.
To show young people the type of wigs we can offer, we organised a photo shoot with three models who kindly gave up their time to help us with this important project.
The pictures were taken at Raoul Wigmakers, a business we work closely with to offer different types of Afro-textured hair wigs.
Phil Brace, Chief Executive of The Little Princess Trust, said: “We had always offered Afro style wigs to our young recipients and previously used straight hair which was later curled into the style chosen by the young wig recipient.
“But the advances that came about by working with our friends at Raoul meant that in 2020 wigs were made for us with Afro hair donations for the first time.
“It is wonderful to see this project grow and to see children and young people offered an inclusive choice that fully respects their heritage.”
Anyone up to the age of 24 experiencing hair loss can speak to our wig team to discuss the wigs we have available.

The range of wigs does depend on the amount and type of hair donations received and we are continually grateful to all of those who donate their hair to us.
