Lecturer puts feet forward to mark a special month

Kyle Matchett is raising money for The Little Princess Trust as part of September's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The lecturer in Molecular Immunology has received funding from LPT for his work on repurposing drugs to more effectively treat acute myeloid leukamia.
And now he and his lab team are 'walking' to Barcelona to raise funds and awareness.
They plan on covering the 1,250 miles that separate their home in Northern Ireland to the beautiful Catalan city throughout September.
The team of seven at Ulster University will record their daily steps with the aim of walking a combined 42 miles a day.
They are getting their efforts sponsored while also highlighting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Kyle headed up Ulster University research about repurposing drugs to repair the damage that causes acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). You can read more about the project here.
