Christmas message from our Chief Executive

Christmas message from our Chief Executive

Massive thanks to supporters after a challenging, yet rewarding, year

As Christmas draws ever nearer, I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has supported The Little Princess Trust this year.

We are fully aware that the past 12 months have once again made for a challenging year, and so we really have been blown away by the fantastic efforts of so many people who have gone out of their way to help us.

Whilst there have been ongoing challenges, we have continued to provide our free wig provision service. And, thanks to your hair donations and your fundraising, we have provided more wigs to children and young people than ever before.

We were delighted to move into our own home this year: The Hannah Tarplee Building.

The Little Princess Trust is also now one of the most significant charity funders of childhood cancer research in the UK, and we are committed to backing many more projects searching for kinder and more effective treatments in the years to come.

We are fully aware that all these achievements have only been made possible thanks to you: our wonderful supporters

This summer saw us take a huge step in our development when we moved into our own new home, The Hannah Tarplee Building.

It has its own salon, wig-making facilities, conference room and office space for staff and we know this move to a purpose-built headquarters will ensure we can help many more children and young people in the future.

Kiya Kanani was the first person to have a wig fitted in our new salon.

The move was one of many highlights that also included the significance of launching our own home-based wig knotting partnership.

We have collaborated with some the most respected wig manufacturers and as from June have been knotting some of our wigs in the U.K.

We have increased the range of wigs and are also now able to take hair donations of any curl type and texture to allow even greater choice.

This year also saw the launch of a new UK wig-knotting partnership led by The Little Princess Trust.

However, we are fully aware that all these achievements have only been made possible thanks to you: our wonderful supporters who constantly amaze us with your selfless efforts.

Through our aims and values, we always try to maintain an upbeat and positive outlook and we love how this is mirrored by so many of our supporters.

We love reading your social media posts and newspaper cuttings which proudly explain how you all went about making a difference and are continually amazed by your support.

Everyone at The Little Princess Trust hopes for a more settled 2022 but we want you all to know that whatever the future brings, we will be here providing wigs and funding research as part of our mission to bring ‘Hair and Hope’ to children and young people.

Wishing you all a very safe and happy Christmas and New Year.

Phil.
