Cardiff Half Marathon 2022

Cardiff Half Marathon 2022

What a tremendous day it was at the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday.

The Welsh capital was buzzing with thousands of runners hitting the streets to support many different charities and we were so proud to have a fantastically committed group among them running for The Little Princess Trust.

Ian Morris, our very own Marketing & Communications Officer, was one of those wearing the purple and white LPT colours in the March sun.

He said: "The Cardiff Half Marathon is such a well-run event and the amount of support us runners received from the Welsh public as we made our way around the capital was phenomenal.

"What really stood out was the amount of people who noticed the LPT name on the running shirts and yelled across the barriers that they had supported our charity. There really is a big LPT family out there!"

Everyone at The Little Princess Trust would like to thank every runner who completed the race and fundraised for us.

The proceeds will ensure The Little Princess Trust can continue to provide real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and also fund vital research into childhood cancers.

Changes to the schedules caused by Covid-19 mean that there is not long to wait until the next Cardiff Half Marathon. And The Little Princess Trust will once again have places for runners wishing to support our charity.

Tim Wheeler, aka Scissorman, was among the team of LPT runners.

So to sign up for the LPT team at the next Cardiff Half on Sunday, October 2, 2022, email events@littleprincesses.org.uk and #DoSomethingAmazing
