We had a very special visitor come and see the new LPT HQ recently!

Lindy Humphrey came for a guided tour of our new Hannah Tarplee Building.

Lindy and her daughter Pippa set up a fundraiser to raise £500 for LPT as she couldn't bear the thought of a child losing their hair. They hit their goal within an hour before the total reached an incredible £5k!

Lindy has created a number of fundraisers including spinathons, bowling nights, quiz nights, school reunions, an Elvis night and a swimathon at their local swimming club.

But the biggest fundraiser was Swinfest, a music festival and auction at the local village pub!
During lockdown Lindy even started to paint rocks and sold those to boost the funds, too. With her latest fundraising efforts added to the pot, Lindy has now raised the huge sum of £25,000 for LPT over the last few years - a truly staggering total for which we are extremely grateful.

Throughout all this hard work, Lindy has been going through her own treatment. She was diagnosed with inoperable peritoneal cancer in April 2015. She knew she would lose her hair, and that’s when she decided to look into donating it to LPT.

Thank you so much, Lindy. You have helped change so many lives! You will always be a massive part of the LPT family.
If you would like to help Lindy meet her goal you can donate here.
If you too want to fundraise for LPT you can download a fundraising pack here.
