Twenty-year-old Immy has faced various treatments since her cancer diagnosis to help her on her road to recovery, but has continued to stay positive throughout.
After being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier this year, Immy knew that it was likely she would lose her hair. Deciding to take things into her own hands, she made the brave decision to generously donate her own hair to LPT's wig provision service to help someone else in her position.
Following on from her diagnosis, Immy and her family got in touch with us here at LPT, and in very little time, Immy received a wig of her own! We are all in awe of Immy's bravery and positivity, and are pleased beyond words to be able to provide one of our real hair wigs to such a special supporter.
Mel told us, "The Little Princess Trust has since been a great support to her at this difficult time. We think she still looks beautiful without her hair and she loves a bucket hat!"
Having seen the impact that hair loss can have on a child or young person, Mel - Immy's aunt - bravely took on the challenge of running the Berlin Marathon to show her support and raise money for our charity. Mel also chose to sport some gorgeous LPT inspired nails along the way!
Competing with her were other members of this amazing family, who took part in a Speed Skating Marathon to show their support.
Mel added, "We will be dedicating every mile to our amazing niece and cousin. She has shown courage, strength, bravery and positivity throughout and we are all so proud of her"
Mel set herself a bold target to raise enough money for LPT to provide two real hair wigs to children and young people. Thanks to her incredible commitment, she proudly crossed the finish line having raised an outstanding £2,588, enough to provide four wigs!
