We are also super-excited about our new campaign, Tea & Tiaras!  We are encouraging all of our lovely supporters across the globe to get together with friends, family or work colleagues, get the kettle on and eat cake – all in aid of Little Princess Trust! To find out how you can host your own Tea & Tiaras tea party check out the events page on our website.

Thank you so much to Gavin Johnston who ran the Inverness Half Marathon last week and raised £1249.62 for the Trust!!

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Phil Taylor at Nat West Hereford for hosting our lovely LPT Collection Box – please donate your old pound coins to Little Princess Trust before they get replaced by the spangly new ones! (Other change and notes also accepted! 😉

And thank you so much, Caylie Jackson, daughter of Stacey Jackson, for your wonderful hair donation today!

Would you like to be in with a chance of owning this beautiful crochet blanket, pictured below? It is one of the original seven ‘Blanket of Hugs’, lovingly hand-made by the #crochetkind community. We were contacted this week by Simply Crochet magazine who told us that they are running a competition to help raise funds for the Little Princess Trust by asking people to make a donation – of any value – on Simply Crochet’s Just Giving page. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a ‘raffle ticket’ and will be entered in to the draw.

From Simplycrochetmag.co.uk: The Blanket of Hugs project was the brainchild of crochet designer and blogger Kate Eastwood (@justpootling), who wanted to make a blanket for a young woman, Jenny, waging a long battle with cancer. The idea was to give her a blanket of love and support so she knew she wasn’t alone. Kate designed 3 crochet squares and asked others to follow the patterns and donate what they’d made. In total, Kate received over 1,000 squares – enough for not one but seven beautiful blankets!

The first blanket was given to Jenny and the rest are being auctioned off to raise money for charities close to Jenny’s heart. We are so grateful to Simply Crochet, who have chosen Little Princess Trust as one of the charities from Jenny’s list.

Good luck to anyone who enters! And lots of luck to all of you who have entered our Real Life Rapunzel competition!
