There are ten employees (eight part-time and two full-time) at the Little Princess Trust. In such a small charity, each person’s role is vital to maintain the smooth running of the charity.
Case Manager, Wendy Tarplee-Morris is the first contact for those seeking a real hair wig for their child or patient. Wendy originally set-up the charity with Simon Tarplee in 2006, in memory of their daughter Hannah who sadly passed away the previous year. Wendy is also a Trustee of the charity.
In addition to arranging real hair wigs for children, Wendy is also responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with all of the oncology treatment centres within the UK and Ireland.
Our Cases Co-ordinator, Andrea Reese, began working for the charity in 2013. Andrea used to play a key role in the Hair Donation Dept but now assists Wendy in helping to supply the wigs to sick children.
Charity Manager, Monica Glass has been with the charity since 2010. Monica looks after the day-to-day management of the charity to ensure the professional and smooth running of the operation. She does this with the assistance of the other charity employees. Some of Monica’s key responsibilities include liaising with our valued supporters (both corporate and individuals), managing the charity’s finances and governance.
Emma Rogers, Finance & Operations Co-ordinator, began working at the Trust in 2013. Emma answers many emails and telephone calls every day, all regarding giving out information about the Trust. Emma assists Monica in the day-to-day running and organisation of the charity. She is also responsible for handling the invoices that we receive regarding the purchase and supply of all of the wigs. The two part-time Hair Donation Assistants report to Emma.
Rebecca Vaughan and Tracey McGuigan, Hair Donation Assistants receive and log the thousands of wonderful hair donations! They open the parcels and sort the plaits according to colour and length. They also prepare the consignments ready for shipping to China so that the suitable hair donations can be manufactured into wigs.
Katie Price, our Systems Administrator & Supporter Services Team Leader, joined the team at the beginning of 2017. Her team is responsible for everything to do with fundraising and hair donation. Katie is assisted by Beverley Morgan and Emma Knight, who together give out all the necessary information to those kind souls planning on donating their hair and/or raising money. Katie also has responsibility for our database management too.
LPT is proud to announce that we employ an Apprentice. Lucie Slaney helps out generally in the office and is also responsible for the dispatch of the fundraising packs to all of our kind supporters. These packs give vital information to those considering fundraising and/or donating their hair to the charity.
