There are nine employees (six part-time and three full-time) at the Little Princess Trust. In such a small charity, each person’s role is vital to maintain the smooth running of the charity. Everyone is based in Hereford with the exception of two part-time employees who are based in Shoreham-By-Sea.
Case Manager, Wendy Tarplee-Morris is the first contact for those seeking a real hair wig for their child or patient. Wendy originally set-up the charity with Simon Tarplee in 2006, in memory of their daughter Hannah who sadly passed away the previous year. Wendy is also a Trustee of the charity.
In addition to arranging real hair wigs for children, Wendy is also responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with all of the oncology treatment centres within the UK and Ireland.
Charity Manager, Monica Glass has been with the charity since 2010. Monica looks after the day-to-day management of the charity to ensure the professional and smooth running of the operation. She does this with the assistance of the other charity employees. Some of Monica’s key responsibilities include liaising with our valued supporters (both corporate and individuals), managing the charity’s finances and dealing with media enquiries.
Emma Rogers, our full-time Admin Assistant, began working at the Trust in 2013. Emma answers many emails and telephone calls every day, all regarding giving information about fundraising for the Trust. Emma is also the one who looks after the online giving platforms (Justgiving.com, MyDonate etc) and organises certificates for all of our fantastic fundraisers. She also handles the invoices that we receive regarding the purchase and supply of all of the wigs.
Our Admin Assistant (Hair Donation), Andrea Reese, also began working for the charity in 2013. Andrea provides information and guidance to people thinking about donating their hair to the charity. This is a vital area for the Little Princess Trust because it obtains wigs manufactured for free using the donated hair.
Andrea also sends thanks by email to our wonderful hair donors every month along with the help of Katie Price. Katie has joined the team at the beginning of 2017 and, together with Andrea, gives out all the necessary information to those kind souls planning on donating their hair. Katie is also responsible for our database management too.
LPT is proud to announce that we employ an Apprentice. Lucie Slaney helps out generally in the office and is also responsible for the dispatch of the fundraising packs to all of our kind supporters. These packs give vital information to those considering fundraising and/or donating their hair to the charity.
The charity is lucky to have two part time employees based in Shoreham-By-Sea. Lisa Hadland‘s role is to receive and unpack all the wonderful hair donations. Lisa also prepares the packages of donated hair ready for transit to the wig manufacturer in China. Lisa is joined by Sue Newnham who is employed for two days a week to in-put information relating to hair donations onto the computer.
