The Friday Round-Up

You know it’s going to be a good week when the Press team wake up to a tweet from the manager of BBC Radio 1’s Best British Group, The Vamps, saying the following:

Joe wasn’t the only celebrity to feature in our feed that day; the divine David Essex was also snapped chopping 12 inches of hair off 10 year-old LPT donor, Brooke from Scunthorpe.

A great start to the week, although the LPT team were still recovering from a smashing Comedy Night held at the Green Man, Fownhope on Saturday. The Comics, supplied by the HaHa Agency, did a cracking job of entertaining the crowds and the event raised nearly £2,500 – enough to fund 5 real hair wigs! Thank you to everyone involved.

The team was also thrilled to attend the Sally Salon Services Award ceremony last week. The Little Princess Trust is the exclusive charity of Sally Salon Services, the world’s largest distributor of professional hair and beauty products, with over 4,000 stores worldwide. Sally‘s has made a tremendous contribution to the work of the Trust. We feel enormously privileged to have Sally‘s on board and we cannot thank everyone enough for the hard work and support from all members of staff at Head Office and throughout the stores. This year’s winner of Charity Store of the Year was Michelle from the Sunderland store. Thank you Michelle!

And just when we thought things couldn’t get much better, we received a call from the wonderful team at Shrek’s Adventure in London, offering us a Family Package ticket for our auction at next year’s ball. Suffice to say, we bit their hands off!

Finally – thank you so much to everyone who has voted for us in the Aviva Community Fund and a huge thank you to the team at Clarke Jeffreys Insurance Brokers for nominating us in the first instance. Today is our last chance to get in as many votes as possible to be in with a chance of winning £10k – that’s enough cash to fund a week’s worth of real hair wigs for the charity. If you took the time to vote – THANK YOU SO MUCH – if you haven’t voted yet, please VOTE NOW! https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/voti…/project/…/16-2855

Hard to believe it’s Friday already – hope you all have a fantastic weekend and don’t forget to keep sharing your news + pics with us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!
