By day, he’s the excellent Headmaster at Stockport Grammar School, but on 22 April he will transform into the sensational SCISSORMAN!!
Tim Wheeler, Trustee of the Little Princess Trust and previously headmaster of Hereford Cathedral Junior School is preparing to run his 4th Virgin London Marathon in aid of the Little Princess Trust.
Not content with the challenge of having to run the gruelling 26.2 miles, Tim will be running in fancy dress which includes sporting a giant pair of scissors attached to his arms!
The spectacular costume has been made by Helen Bissell from Hereford.
On his JustGiving page, Tim says: ‘Please donate whatever you can. Every single penny will help to spur me on as I take on my toughest challenge yet, dressed, I am sure, like no other competitor – with a giant pair of scissors strapped to my arms!’
As a cheeky warm-up, Tim is also running in the Manchester Marathon on 8 April which will be the first showcase of his out-of-this-world costume!
Monica Glass, Charity Manager, added: ‘We are so grateful to Tim for supporting us once again as Scissorman. It takes a huge amount of dedication and training to compete in the Virgin London Marathon and it really is testament to Tim’s character- and his commitment to the charity – that he takes up the challenge with such fantastic enthusiasm. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Helen for her incredible work on the costume!’
