How we help those with hair loss which has not been caused by cancer treatment

Other hair loss conditions

The Little Princess Trust feels very privileged to be able to help so many children and young people with hair loss each year.

As a registered children's cancer charity, The Little Princess Trust's primary objective is to give wigs to children or young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

The charity is also pleased to help many young people who have other hair loss conditions.

Everyone at The Little Princess Trust knows that these fantastic wigs can have a hugely positive impact for young people at what can be a very challenging time in their lives.

The charity's service for young people who have hair loss which is not resulting from cancer treatment is directly linked to the availability of our wigs.

All efforts are made to offer a wig from the charity's short and medium-length ranges to children with hair loss that has not been caused by cancer treatment.

The charity can also offer, subject to availability, subsequent wigs to young people with hair loss caused by other conditions 12 months after they have received their first wig.

All costs for the entire service, which includes cutting and styling, are covered by The Little Princess Trust.

We would encourage anyone up to the age of 24 with any type of hair loss to contact our wig referrals team to discuss the options available.

To do so, please email wigs@littleprincesses.org.uk or call 01432 760060. Meanwhile a wig can be requested via this online form.

The MBE for voluntary groups was awarded to The Little Princess Trust by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
